“Imponderabilia” by Antonio Vasaturo

We descend into the abyss of a mind haunted by poisoned whispers of hate towards the own body image.

We follow the painful process of a catharsis that, through visual allegories, leads to the body-metamorphosis from an "heavy object" to "imponderable flesh".

FROM THE DIRECTOR

“Months ago, with the help of my social channels, I’ve spreaded a “listening space” in which everyone could anonymously talk about their relationship with their body. Collecting the strongest testimonies I’ve constructed a monologue which then became a visual poem to talk about bodydysmorphia. This is an internal disease, of the mind, not an aesthetic one, and I tried to convey it through my images. I believe that in a world that pushes us to be pathological narcissists, remembering our fragilities is essential."
