“.SOLO” by Karim Shaaban
A short poetic film showing three different characters interacting with the city in their own way. Loneliness is the destination in a fast changing city.
This film is a visual portrayal of an ever-evolving city, taking on new faces and forms from the layers of narratives that have shaped it. We see three characters born of it, each interacting, adapting, and altered by this metamorphosis in their ways. Through their nature and personalities, we experience the city's different energies and how it, as a fundamental part of this whole dynamic, influences and inhabits our psyche and drives us in different ways.

“The film is a visual portrayal of how cities shape us as much as we shape them and this endless dance.'SOLO' is a passion project I produced alongside my buddy Fawzi Darwish (also the DOP of this film). We decided to carry out this project to seek a new challenge both visually and conceptually.”
