“Insuppressible: Lewis Rossignol” By ROVE

Lewis Rossignol is a South Portland based visual artist. After many years working blue-collar jobs, at 37 years old he decided to go back to art school. Propelled by his distinctive style, Lewis has been able to sustain a career selling his original work as well as taking on high profile commissions for artists like Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers and Tyler the Creator. Lewis is open about how creative endeavors like drawing is one of the only remedies he's found for his condition, Tourette's Syndrome.

HOU'LEY (ABSENT) Fond du Lac is a Dene First Nations community in northern Saskatchewan. The name quite literally translates to “Bottom of the Lake,” It has one of the highest suicide rates among youth in Canada. In this documentary short, one grieving mother tells the story of her fifteen year old son and his untimely and tragic death from suicide. With limited mental health support, it has been nearly three years since she has been able to speak openly about the trauma she and her family experienced following the loss of her son.
