Beyond the Short Official Premiere
This project was born out of the need to tell the story of a man who for his entire existence did nothing but devote himself and his soul to something that even he, did not really want.
Perhaps someone else told him to do so.

“It all started with listening to what Marianna De Bernardini, the singer and producer of the song, was imagining while writing the piece, the reasons why she made certain choices and her preferences.
We chose the story to tell, a story inspired by the very words and meaning of the song: a man who has spent his life simulating a rich and happy existence finds himself alone and empty.
Having a strong passion for cinema, Simone Marcolin (DP) and I tried to include references to the cinema of Tarkovsky, Bergman and also pictorial references in this music video. One shot in particular, for example, is strongly inspired by Andrea Mantegna's 'Dead Christ'.
The cinematography is also inspired by the world of cinema. This led us to intervene in the scenes by lighting them without giving the idea that there is a massive artificial or constructed photographic intervention.
"Soldier' is a music video that perhaps moves a little away from the idea of a pop, classic music video. We chose to interpret it and approach it as if it were a short film, giving importance to its narrative component.
