“Over Early” by Matthew Brennan
Kelsey has been up all night, stressing over an argument with her boyfriend from the night before. She wants to continue a conversation about whether or not they're moving in together, but her partner is uninterested in the conversation. Kelsey continues to get an answer from him, knowing that the answer is a litmus test on the state of their relationship.
FROM THE DIRECTOR
“I think for this short, I was trying to do something really tight and intimate. Initially, Jacob (the DP) and I were looking to shoot something on one roll of film. And so out of that necessity, it had to be something super short. We wound up not shooting on film, but still carried on making it. This was my first time collaborating with Jacob as well as both actors in this short. I loved working with them (as well as the rest of the crew) and hope to continue to do so.”
