One stupid joke. Two good friends. Three thousand apologies. Two friends get caught in an apology loop.
FROM THE DIRECTOR
“If I could go back in time to 2019, I would first try to warn everybody, spiral when no one believes me, collapse under the ethical weight of it all, and forever wonder if in some grandfather-paradox situation, I ended up causing a global crisis with my actions. Secondly, I would tell myself to bring another camera to this shoot.
Ok, maybe I wouldn’t, because what would result might not look anything like the semi-synchronized chaos you see before you. The kitchen scene of our little short unexpectedly became entirely improvised by these two masters of the form, leaving editor-me with perhaps the greatest post-production challenge I’ve ever faced. This must have gone through 1600 different choose-your-own-adventure versions before I could find its final form, polished perfectly with a fantastic score. I hope version #1601 brings you a laugh today.”
