“Hide and Seek” by Alejandra Vidal

In a world of dusty light and fleeting laughter, a woman allows her thoughts to drift back to childhood games of hide and seek, rediscovering the magic and joy of being found. Hide & Seek blurs memory and daydream, inviting us to remember the simple magic still hiding in plain sight.

FROM THE DIRECTOR

“Hide & Seek began with watching my own kids play and realizing how quickly these small moments slip away. The sound of their feet racing down the hallway, the way they hold their breath in hiding, the thrill that bursts out when they’re found. I chose to film on 16mm because its texture mirrors how memory feels:imperfect, fleeting, and alive. At its core, the film isn’t just about a game, but about the feeling of wanting to be found — something I think stays with us long after childhood.”
