“A Tight Squeeze” by Colton Caulfield

Remi is an anxious improv performer gunning for a spot in a New York troupe. Things go south fast when Bobby, the group’s controversial and intimidating captain, plants himself on Remi’s metal water bottle. Suddenly tied together by an incident that can't be publicized, they enter a secret pact that could end in disaster, or give Remi the perfect edge to snag his spot.

FROM THE DIRECTOR

“A Tight Squeeze was created because we wanted to make a film that reflects the New York City improv scene; a generous ecosystem that rarely gets cinematic recognition.

Its spirit and the people who devote themselves to it is admirable and refreshing. The form is alive and unpredictable, and we felt it necessary to channel that into A Tight Squeeze. Everyone in front of the camera is an active improviser, performing regularly at a range of NYC theaters: The PIT, UCB, Magnet Theater, and Brooklyn Comedy Collective.”
