“Habitat” By Kyle Marchen

Synopsis

A young man heads home to retrieve the deceased body of a loved one and is forced to reflect on the circumstances that have transpired.

Directors statement

Making Habitat was a direct response to conversations I was having with loved ones around the start of the pandemic. There was a grim acceptance of death and susceptibility to the worst case scenario within each of those phone calls. I tried to capture that melancholic quality in the film, while still holding close the consideration of what these notions could mean.
